I, Nishant Kalra, MD, completed internal medicine residency at Michigan State University/Hurley Medical Center. Got fellowship trained in cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular imaging from University of Arizona. Then advanced to the University of Kentucky, where I underwent two years of dedicated training in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease management, endovascular interventions and structural heart disease management. I am is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, interventional cardiology and vascular interpretation. I am trained to do coronary, venous, peripheral, carotid, subclavian, renal interventions, IVC filter, DVT thrombolysis, catheter-directed pulmonary embolism thrombolysis, in addition to cardiac structural interventions. I also received advanced training in sclerotherapy and venous ablations.
